The perfect scenario... April 04 2017
We arrived home late on Sunday after an intense, powerful and loving one day show held about one hour away from home. In a 'perfect' world I take Mondays off after a show, or the day after we arrive home, to rest, regroup and hopefully recharge.
The plans were 'spoiled' this time. You see, my brother was in from Germany on business. As luck would have it, his office is mere minutes away from our home! I was giddy to get to share our new life with him and have him over for dinner. This of course meant cleaning, prepping for dinner which includes yummy dessert things.
He LOVES chocolate, so chocolate brownies it was with a caramel center sprinkled with nuts. It's a multi baking process so while the first round was in the oven I puttered in the kitchen tidying things up. As the second round commenced, I desperately wanted to get in the garden to dig, pull up weeds and plant some flowers I had purchased last week; it helps me to ground and reconnect. I had twenty minutes to do all of this.
Of course I could have taken the easy way out and put the timer on my phone. Oh no, that's too easy! I told The Gang I needed to be back in the house within twenty minutes, flowers planted and all so the brownies wouldn't burn. I left it at that.
NINETEEN minutes to the second four people starting texting me. Bing, Beep, Chime. Bing, Beep, Chime... I caught the time and realized the happy flowers were all safely planted. I went inside just as the oven timer went off; brownies smiling happily from the oven.
You see, it can be that simple; Ask AND Receive. Let go of the concepts that your requests will not be heard. Let go of the control factor and checking the clock. Simply let go and trust. They DO hear every request you make. They DO act upon every request you make; it's up to you to allow them to help you.
Just to show off the brownies... a bit...
