The Angels have the last word... February 06 2017 2 Comments
It's a GLORIOUS day here mid 60s and it's the beginning of February! What 'bright' groundhog said we're getting six more weeks of winter? Me thinks, or hopes at least, he's WRONG.
It's scheduled to rain tomorrow and Gabi and I needed to get out. Off we went into the woods to discover new trails and be adventurous. I called it 'Getting Lost In the Woods'... how right that ultimately was!
I decided to do some catching up with family.
Called mom... no answer
Called my sis...no answer
Called a good friend...no answer
Called one of my younguns...no answer
What gives?! Sandalphon quickly jumped in to tell me that today was for exploring and observing. One simply could not observe if 'one was chatting on the phone'
Well okay then...I guess.
Off we ventured, onward towards the river. We (more likely I was DIRECTED) to take a certain path; down to the biggish stream, cross (thankfully I have waterproof shoes) and to the left. VERY specific Sandalphon, VERY specific... It's a beautiful day and off Gabi and I went. She cavorted briefly with a new friend in the water and her friend's owners were in shock that Gabi is a very young eight years old. We quickly parted ways and did not see another soul for another two hours.
We hugged the river as you can see and then the path headed right. Okay I thought, we're heading back towards the main area.
Deeper and deeper into the woods the path took us. Only hearing the crunching of my feet and Gabi playing in the brush. Hark, do I hear children? We must be getting close!
Not only did their voices disappear, we heard nothing again for the longest time. It was a prime time to chat away with The Gang. Chat we did... where I wish to be, how are they orchestrating it all; support, new folks, etc. How am I to fulfill my mission, etc. It WAS quite the talk let me tell you.
As my handy dandy fit bit buzzed and congratulated me on taking 10,000 steps, we still had no end in sight. I knew Gabi was getting a bit weary (as was I). Within moments, VIOLA! Water! In she went and SMILED. Smiled I tell you! As I was figuring out how to get to the other side, for it looked vaguely familiar, I spied the rope bridge. The Rope Bridge! Yes, it really became that important and deserved to be capitalized for I knew where it was!
As we finally treaded on trails we knew and headed towards home, The Gang chuckled.
"See, we are never far. As your walks, trips, segues may seem off the beaten track, we always take care of you and set you straight. You will always be heading towards your goals, no matter what."
WOW. That's all I need to say....
Sometimes you just gotta... February 02 2017
As an Angel Goddess-preneur, it's often a one woman goddess show. YES, I have loads of folks helping in ALL sorts of ways, so this is in no way discounting their immense love, support and physical help. I know, I know, I put this pressure on myself.
The angels and I have a pact; guess it's the word of the week, and there is a list that is ginormously long of things I wish to do. I really won't bore you with all of those, but suffice it to say I keep myself pretty darn busy. I'll repeat; I know, I know, I put this pressure on myself and I'm usually the Chief Whip Cracker reminding me of what needs to get done like yesterday.
So today, I protested. Yes indeed I did. I broke my routine...kinda.
I still did The Dailies... the channeled messages so many of you look forward to (if you don't know what I'm chatting about, come find me on Facebook), had my morning cappuccino and the routine broke when I took a shower immediately following! Yes, this may be TMI, but I often get so caught up in writing, walking Gabi, etc. showers don't happen until later in the day.
I broke the routine and did errands! Heresy I tell you! Errands! You know one really needs to get out more often when errands are exciting! ;) Errand running I did with Gabi accompanying me as my trusty co-pilot. We arrived back home and decided I'm making one of my husband's favorite dinners tonight... SHHHH... roasted chicken, homemade cranberry sauce and homemade stuffing. He will be giddy.
After that, I still wanted to rebel. Off Gabi and I go on our walk and we tried a new path; going deep into the woods.
Gabi ventured further off trail than ever. She went swamping:
We laughed. Okay I laughed, she grinned:
We walked over five miles today and came home rejuvenated! I had set my intention with Sandalphon (Angel of Grounding) before we left home to better understand a new section he wished included in the Authorization Course for students. At best it had become a Hair Hurting Experience, but as we were out, he offered insights in ways that I finally 'got it'.
So sometimes, you just gotta go on a flyer, break your routines and have a bit of fun when it's not scheduled. My Act of Self Love today is complete. What did you do for you?
The Color of Love January 26 2017
I was out with Gabi today, you know my living muppet yogi dog, and a thought popped in my head as we passed yet another potential fan club member for Gabi. Are dogs really color blind? Turns out they are NOT (I did a tiny bit of research on our arrival home). They DO see a variety of colors, but akin to a person who is red-green color blind. Simply put dogs see orange, yellow, and green as yellow. Blue-green is seen as white and red looks as though it is brownish-black. That is starting to make my hair hurt, but bottom line, they see a lot more than gray tones.
I asked because, you see, Gabi LOVES everybody. Truly. I've never seen her growl at a person. Unless of course they are walking by and she's not out there to greet them. But I digress...
On every walk, she perks up the minute she see another human. Her tail wags. She begins to prance. She actually smiles in anticipation. She eagerly waits for the command from me or a greeting from them to perform her official hello which also includes massive leaning and if you're really lucky a slobbery kiss. She actually gets somewhat miffed when a person doesn't invite her over or worse yet; she is ignored.
It doesn't matter how old or how young. Although she does have a distinct fondness for children. It doesn't matter if they are purple, black, polka-dotted, yellow, white or striped. She truly adores and LOVES everyone.
What a novel idea. Love for what it is. Love no matter what. Love is not just skin deep. Love is real.
We could all learn something from that magical fur angel girl known as Gabi.
