FIVE Things you can do to empower yourself spiritually February 02 2018
I am often asked how can I do this or that? The 'This' or 'That' implies to better embracing and owning one own’s spirituality.
It all starts with YOU.
It starts within.
It starts at the beginning.
Meditation doesn’t have to be an event that takes like FOREVA. An enlightening session can be as short as five minutes. It’s an easy practice to start, but can take a lifetime to master, but don’t let that hinder you! Meditation opens new horizons, instills stillness within, offers profound peace and leave.
It’s easy to start; call upon Archangel Michael, The Angel of Protection. As Big Mike enters the room, it may begin to feel a bit warmer; don’t be alarmed, it’s one of his signs. Having him to stand guard will you meditate helps to ascertain that all information you get during your meditation is clear and not muddled. This also helps the ego to go sit in the corner for a bit ... might as well give it the proverbial lollipop too.
Sit in a comfy place. Don't go into hyper drive of Am I doing this right? If you are comfy, that is all that matters. Seriously if you can't sit with feet firmly on the ground because you're more comfortable cross-legged, that is all you will think about. I want to cross my legs! or OOPS, I just crossed my legs, best put them flat on the floor. Just stop. BE comfy.
Now place your hands over your heart and listen to your heartbeat. This helps to slow your mind as well as offering you something to focus on. Your breath will naturally slow all resulting in you deepening you meditative state. Again, it doesn't matter which hand is on top.
Stay in this quiet moment that turns into moments. This connection helps you to connect with your heart; the birthplace of your soul. Once connected, allow yourself to remember this connection, this purity, this love. Revel in this moment. Embrace it.
This simple act begins to open doors and enhancing your spiritual side.
Step TwoGet outside. Take a walk on the wild side ... in nature!
Oh, leave that brilliant magical electronic device at home or in your pocket. NO walk will do you a bit of good if you are staring down at the screen. Besides, you might just trip over a tree root or something if you are too busy looking down.
I have gotten into the habit that whenever Gabi and I leave our home I present a situation that I would like clarity on. I start by asking Archangel Sandalphon as he oversees the Earthstar chakra and reminds me to BE more often which allows him and the other Gang Members to answer. My queries can run the gamut; something as inspiration for dinner to expanding on a new product/project idea to explaining something much deeper.
I then let go of that intention and allow to BEcome inspired.
We, Gabi and I, then have a blast as we go about our magical journey walks. Once we reach a certain spot in the woods, she is allowed off leash and free to romp and go swamping. This leaves me free to enjoy the moments with her. Experience that joy, silliness and BEing at peace.
Why at peace? I am centered; living through the energy of love and joy through Gabi. I am so focused on her that nothing else enters my mind at the moment. Those quite little moments of stillness open doors to answers. It’s in those moments my questions begin to unravel to allow answers to softly dance in. They dance in so softly that it is without a doubt a message from The Gang in response to my queries.
It’s feeling the ground beneath my feet that I become more centered, more grounded if you will. It’s feeling the sun’s warmth on my face that my heart lightens. At the moment we are in the midst of another Arctic blast and I can feel the chill course through my body waking up every cell. It’s glorious to feel alive! That essence only deepens my spiritual connection to the universe that surrounds us.
During our walks stillness creeps in. Life creeps in. Love creeps in. My connection to The Gang and God/Goddess strengthens and is fortified.
Give it a try.
Chose LOVE over FEAR
Unfortunately life does not always go according to plan. In fact, it rarely goes according to plan.
Every day is truly a new beginning. You can chose to dance in lower energies by whining, jumping in the unsavory, or by focusing on lack of whatever and wherever you feel lack in your life.
You can focus on Love. True, easier said than done… at times. However, no matter how low you feel life has become, there is always something there to be grateful for.
Here are some ‘normal’ ideas to whet your appetite and remind you how lovely your life really is.
- Love offered from another; social group, family member, friend
- A sunny day
- A home
- Shoes - one never has enough shoes!
- The ability to see what you already have and offer gratitude. Yep, snuck that one in there.
When we chose a higher vibration (Love), we automatically are choosing to see more of what we can have, BE, and do. Once seen, it’s hard to hide again. Once seen, it is heard. Once seen, it becomes easier to embrace and truly BE.
Choosing fear? Not so much. Let’s just say, you’ll get loads more of what you really don’t want. All the complaining the in world won’t change it. You must change from within and begin to see the beauty of life. The beauty? Only opens you to more of what spirit is offering you.
Chat with Jophiel. She is the Angel of Joy-Filled Power. She’ll be more than happy (pun intended) to put a smile on your face and remind you that you are your most powerful when in JOY.
This is not about taking the closest Zumba or kickboxing class. This is participating in a form of exercise that has a spiritual component such as Tai Chi or Yoga.
This is akin to walking outside and reconnecting with nature and all it offers regularly. However, most of yoga and Tai Chi classes are held inside and therefore one can’t use the excuse that it is cold or rainy in order to partake.
When beginning a more spiritually based form of exercise, one naturally slows down. It’s within that stillness that the heart speaks and speaks loudly. Ego is forced to sit in the corner with a lollipop. Why is that?
One simply cannot perform all those yoga poses with grace and ease! I’ve been known to fall over while attempting Crow. It wasn’t pretty, the class was concerned, but I just sat back and laughed. My worse fear was fulfilled; I fell.
Oh but the lesson! I got back up and am now slowly conquering Crow. One day I shall. In the meantime I am humbled and chuckle through the stumbling and teetering and who knows? Perhaps another fall awaits me.
I chat with Metatron on these days. He oversees the Soul Star chakra (about 6” above your head) and oversees your soul’s mission. I present to him a variety of things; how I wish to BE better is the most common theme. I ask that before class commences and by the time Savasana (corpse/relaxation pose) rolls around, I receive answers. My mind drifts. I allow myself to receive hearings from them. I gather to me insights and inspirations.
In one word? It’s magical.
Let’s face it, who doesn’t LOVE a good oreo cookie? (that’s my guilty dream of late). I don’t keep them in the house for I know once that bag is open, the bag magically becomes empty and they enter my belly. Not necessarily the best idea. Why do i do this and ignoring a non savory craving?
Because I value my body and what it does for me. I recognize that by eating a higher vibration of food, I am honoring me and my spiritual path. This is not to say I don’t have an oreo once in a while, but IF I do, it’s a small snack pack. Of course as time changes, so do my cravings. You know what? They all revolve around sugar. One thing I have learned that if I ‘suffer’ through a couple of days of No More, the cravings POOF vanish and I can go back to eating better for me with greater ease.
Think about it, what is your guilty pleasure? Switch out my current fave of Oreo to your choice. Indulge. Indulge deeply. How do you feel afterwards? If you are anything like me, not so great. Of course there is the initial high, but it quickly morphs into remorse, bloating, muddled thinking and more (we won’t go into ‘potty talk’).
Now think of the times you eat right for you. Your body felt energized. Ideas could come in fast and furious AND you had more than enough energy that allowed you to act upon them. You rarely got sick. You became excited with life and your connection to source was equally clearer.
Because you were fueling your body and therefore your soul. When you fuel at optimum levels, you can more clearly see, hear, know and sense wisdom from the other side. You are more at peace. You radiate an energy of love, BEing centered that has others wishing to know your secrets.
In other words, you can walk your talk with a genuine smile on your face.
It’s uncanny what our bodies tell us when we eat food that is not good for us. No, no, don’t be mistaken, I’m not going on a Thou Shall BEcome vegan or vegetarian or …. This is about eating what is right for you and only you. Bottom line, some folks need to stay a carnivore.
Gabriel is my go to in this arena. He is the Angel of Miracles and oversees the sacral chakra; the place of sensuality. He guides me to juicier and healthier foods and encourages new recipes to continue to expand my horizons, not my waistline.
These five seemingly insignificant steps can help in more ways than you may imagine. Are these the only things you can do? Of course not! I look forward to reading what other tricks you have tried successfully that have opened your spiritual horizons as you dance this thing called Life.

What on Earth is going on? September 13 2017 2 Comments
So many of you have reached out with questions of disbelief, low energy levels, not feeling 100% and more.
I get it.
Let's look to our most recent past.
We had a partial lunar and solar eclipse.
We had our first full solar eclipse in decades here in the States.
Two hurricanes just barreled through the States with unrelenting force, leaving too much devastation in their wake.
Think the energy is churned up? Of course it is! Why wouldn't it affect you? No matter where you live, energy is energy and it travels. This shift has hit everyone, at various levels. I'm no exception. I returned to our home away from the beach fer reals over the past few days. While our home was not in disarray, it needed some TLC and waking up.
Wake it up I did; cleaning each and every room top to bottom. Baseboards, windows, files, etc. all cleaned and purged. As I went from room to room I carried Michael's Sacred Candle with me bringing in the energy of protection while the kaka got swept up and away.
The house now feels great.
However, I was pretty exhausted (not a great way to start show season) and I realize a new not so nice portal had opened in our backyard. Even Gabi was anxious going out the back to play, relax and well whatever dogs do. She confirmed what I thought/knew; something was icky out there. Work was quickly assigned to The Gang and Mystical Creatures to close it off and send the unwanted energies back home (we don't displace around here and leaving someone else to deal with it all - not good karma in my book).
In the midst of this I facilitated a guided meditation with my students last night. It went well; however the reaction wasn't the typical WOW! Many felt a bit afraid afterwards - OH DEAR -
Ironically prior to the meditation we chatted about encountering new things - mystical creatures included - and how at times we push things away even if it is the very thing that is need at that moment in time. Why? Bottom line, it's something new. New can be scary. Especially if it is a powerful new tool often one doesn't feel worthy to have such a tool. I get that as well. I've turned away help many a time because I would think who am I to garner such assistance?
I toss back to you - why don't you deserve all the help you request/desire? Especially now with the energy swirling and twirling all over the place. Why wouldn't you allow outside assistance from The Winged and Haloed Gang or a Crystal (we have super cool sceptres), or a Unicorn or a Centaur or a ....
See where I'm going with this? Life is about asking and receiving. Not just the winning lottery ticket, but also in the day to day of life. From having your home protected as you clean, to your yard so it's safe for all to enjoy, to yes maybe winning the lottery.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this one powerful topic... allowing the assistance to come through even if you haven't asked for it. Trust me, they know when you are ready.
The Full Moon and Her energies June 08 2017 1 Comment
The upcoming full moon is in the sign of Sagittarius. This particular moon harkens to all to stand in their power (I love reading this AFTER I post the Daily Channeled message - still love those confirmations)
This particular moon is also called the Strawberry Moon. This signifies it is time to harvest strawberries. It is also called the Rose Moon and Hot Moon. I'm going to go with rose, for rose signifies great love to me. However, keep in mind that most rose varieties also have thorns... life is not always about sweetness and celebration!
With this combination of Sagittarius and Rose Moon, marks a strong humanitarian streak, which is the essence of caring: Act as though your life depends on it. For it does. You are creating dharma.
In other words, It's a time to BE. BE yourself. This means BEing silly, spontaneous, joy-filled. Be forewarned though dear Chatterer, there is a sense of urgency that is underlying in this moon's energy. A sense of being reckless (notice the absence of 'BE' here). Do stay alert to your surroundings. There is an undercurrent of not nice and you empaths have felt this brewing for at least a few days and unfortunately we have witnessed such events globally with various acts of fear. Also notice I do not use the word terrorism here. Each act, whether it is a full scale act or more personal, is an Act of Fear by the initiator. It is up to each person individually how they respond (again notice I do not use the word 'victim'). Do you lash out equally, or do you step back and understand the 'whys' better?
Is it karma or dharma at play? Karma is the 'I deserve this from a past life' or dharma - the healing of karma combined with paying it forward energy.
Can these acts be avoided? Not really. Each one is a call to arms at various levels. Each one is a call to BE. Each one is a remembrance that LOVE is indeed the answer.
Why do they need to happen then? Simply put, to wake up humanity. If you think about it, each act of fear rallies people from around the world in love and peace. However, as long as these have been happening and as long as I given it thought, I have noticed that we, as humans, have the attention span of a gnat. Meaning it's not long before we rush back to comfort, the dullness, the routine of life and forget the event for it doesn't affect us directly. However, with each event a few stay in that essence of Love and Peace. The tide of Love builds. The tide of understanding grows taller. The tide of BEing becomes more permanent. The more that stay there. The more that can stay in the essence of BEing, the more likely these kinds of events will cease.
Bottom line? Take charge. Don't allow another's action to dictate how you act! Isn't it time, past time really, that you called the shots so to speak? Don't you wish for a life filled with more ease, peace, love, joy and great abundance? Of course you do. We all do. Then stop allowing another's thoughts, words, deeds dictate your life. Move forward with all the gusto you have within. Look at the ways you deal with each situation. Do you meditate, binge eat, exercise, draw, scream? All can point to a way you can help others.
Each thing we do is a way we cope. Each thing we do is a way we offer to heal ourselves. Your very actions inspire others.
Hmmm.... betcha never thought of it that way before, had you?
Please leave comments below here... it helps others find us!
In order to ALLOW, one must BE... June 01 2017
We've chatted about allowing recently. You know, allowing others to step in to help and not feeling less than by doing so.
How easy is it to allow? Apparently not as as easy as ordering a pizza. Of course it all varies from event or yearning to event and yearning. What I have noticed and have begun to embrace more is the Art of BEing. True, you probably have heard me use this phrase before, but bear with me for a few more moments.
When we are in the moment of BEing, we ARE allowing. How cool is that?!
When we are present in our energy, we allow. When we are in the moment, all is indeed right with the world and we are not pondering on who is going to call, what shoe may or may not drop next. We aren't even wondering what is for dinner! (perhaps I am getting a tad hungry with all these food metaphors...)
When we are present; something that meditation can offer us, or yoga or conscious walking (you know, walking and not talking. Walking and allowing self to see the beauty that is being present to us.) It's in these moments our hearts fill. It is in these moments we sigh. It is in these moments we know we are enough.
If we are enough, and of course we are, we are BEing. If we are BEing, and we are, we are allowing. Nothing is forced. It is what it is. We are not judging; we realize all, including self, have foibles. We are stunning, light-filled, full. We are at peace.
What angel to call upon for this? My go to for BEing, is Shamael, wings down. Why? Shamael is the Angel of Harmony. Try this exercise. It's one Shamael had me perform years ago for the first time and I still practice on a somewhat regular basis. It's a bit unorthodox, but the results from a BEing perspective may just blow your mind.
Wash a pot or two with your eyes closed. Yes, you read correctly, eyes closed. Of course once 'completed', double check to make sure you got it all, but for the first stage, eyes closed. Why bother? You have no choice but to be present. You are scrubbing away and feeling the pot. You are feeling the bumps (most likely food that requires removing). You are feeling the smoothness. What a lovely reminder; all have bumps, but once acknowledged all is smooth once more.
It's a minor lesson in gratitude. You've used this pot countless times, have you ever thanked it? Most likely not. As you are scrubbing with your eyes closed, give thanks for all those yummy (or not so yummy) meals it helped you prepare. As you scrub with your eyes closed, what other subtle nuances are you now aware of? I'm betting your breathing slows. I'll even wager you have a little smile growing. I'll even go out on a limb here and say your entire being begins to relax. Everything begins to s.l.o.w. down.
Why? Because you are now BEing. As you settle in this energy, remember what it feels like. Give it a one word label. This little ol' label will help you get there next time; perhaps even without washing a pot.
Let me know how this exercise goes for you. I'm really curious to see if others relax the same way I do.
Remember, even the angels relax a bit now and then by fluffing up their wings and halo, or pot scrubbing...
It's the 'little' things... May 25 2017 2 Comments
Sorry for me being a bit AWOL recently, but doing three shows back to back took its toll on us. However, without further adieu, The Gang popped in the middle of the night last night and began filling my heart with such joy it's impossible to not share.
It's the little things that not only keep you going, but fuel you.
As an example, my folks return from a 30 day wandering trip in Spain, Italy and Switzerland. They will be snug in our home this evening for hopefully a delicious (new recipe) meal, plenty of vino (It IS National Wine Day after all) and lotsa laughter, love and great stories.
I look forward to every juicy morsel.
It's the little things.
A client who has become a friend popped in on her personal trek last night for dinner. While she only stayed for a few hours, it was lovely to just BE with each other.
It's the little things.
I awoke this morning to the rain softly falling, the birds welcoming in a new day and the 'kittens' snuggling in close.
It's the little things.
Yesterday I arranged some M&Ms in the faery villages in the backyard only to have the M&MS GONE in a matter of hours. I imagine the fae taking them and having a party. My husband says the squirrels got them.
It's the little things.
It's having a rule with my husband that we don't talk work until we kiss. Even if it is a virtual kiss.
It's the little things.
It's playing with Gabi and chatting with her as we go for our daily magical adventures and seeing all sorts of things from the very real to the very real, but energy creatures.
It's the little things.
It's conversing with my truly amazing children via text to say I Love You because I can and sharing new recipes or tempting pictures of new recipes completed.
It's the little things.
It's chatting with The Gang. Listening to their pushing and often prodding to step out to share their stories, guidance and humor to clients and future students.
It's the little things.
It's these little things, or not so little things that when categorized into one word that spells out
'Princess and the Pea' May 09 2017
Do you remember the fairy tale, Princess and the Pea? I had one of those moments not too long ago...
The other week I was out simply pulling up some dandy lions. Since I wasn't digging or doing anything laborious, I kept on my sturdy flip flops and pulled up loads of weeds and continued on my merry way. Two days later I was at our beach home and my foot began to bother me... a lot.
While I saw a splinter; in there, the little guy just would not leave. It appeared to be quite happy taking up space in my body and was in for the duration. There wasn't enough soaking in warm salt water or peroxide that would convince it to leave the premises. I knew it entered on the Day of The Dandy Lion (we have many plants with tiny little thorns in the yard)
It quickly became an annoying little bugger.
I continued on. I performed massive amounts of gardening as the pile of garbage bags filled with weeds will attest and much to the chagrin of our local trash collectors. Each night I would soak my foot. It WAS annoying. Certain shoes seemed to annoy it more. It was red and slightly warm. Walking on the sand was not as joyous as it normally is.
FINALLY it popped out Thursday night; over five days after its entry. It quickly fell onto the carpet never to be seen again, so the picture is a pen mark on my finger to show you exactly how tiny this little guy was. It WAS tiny! Its message had been delivered and lesson learned so it was now ready to be a distant memory.
But it let its presence be known in a BIG way. The lesson? Wear shoes all the time while gardening obviously. However, the analogy of the story, is that if something is not to your liking, the angels will provide a way to slow you down, re-evaluate, heal so you may move forward with the utmost grace, joy and of course love. My lesson? BE in the moments of BEing more often. Allow all to emerge. Do not force anything in or in this case, out. All works itself out in that blessed phrase, 'Divine Timing'.
It's when those seemingly little things can wreak havoc in our lives because we begin to focus on their annoying presence, much like a splinter. When we allow ourselves to BE, we give ourselves permission to pay attention to nuances and heed their warning. Give the 'splinter' a chance to leave and not become a problematic boulder in the scheme of things.
How to accomplish the removal of the pea? One can attempt to ignore it, but when did ignoring something solve anything? It doesn't and you know this well. Look at the lesson you are experiencing. How would you do things differently? Does this little inconvenience bring to light an aspect of you loving yourself more in a different way? (for this scenario, loving my feet more by wearing proper shoes is a no brainer and Honey Guy would testify to this in a nano-second).
I honestly love the messages and little lessons (pun intended) The Gang provides on a daily basis. Daily? Absolutely. It's in the nuances of our daily life that shifts happen and we can become aware of them all and BE.
The Angels have the last word... February 06 2017 2 Comments
It's a GLORIOUS day here mid 60s and it's the beginning of February! What 'bright' groundhog said we're getting six more weeks of winter? Me thinks, or hopes at least, he's WRONG.
It's scheduled to rain tomorrow and Gabi and I needed to get out. Off we went into the woods to discover new trails and be adventurous. I called it 'Getting Lost In the Woods'... how right that ultimately was!
I decided to do some catching up with family.
Called mom... no answer
Called my sis...no answer
Called a good friend...no answer
Called one of my younguns...no answer
What gives?! Sandalphon quickly jumped in to tell me that today was for exploring and observing. One simply could not observe if 'one was chatting on the phone'
Well okay then...I guess.
Off we ventured, onward towards the river. We (more likely I was DIRECTED) to take a certain path; down to the biggish stream, cross (thankfully I have waterproof shoes) and to the left. VERY specific Sandalphon, VERY specific... It's a beautiful day and off Gabi and I went. She cavorted briefly with a new friend in the water and her friend's owners were in shock that Gabi is a very young eight years old. We quickly parted ways and did not see another soul for another two hours.
We hugged the river as you can see and then the path headed right. Okay I thought, we're heading back towards the main area.
Deeper and deeper into the woods the path took us. Only hearing the crunching of my feet and Gabi playing in the brush. Hark, do I hear children? We must be getting close!
Not only did their voices disappear, we heard nothing again for the longest time. It was a prime time to chat away with The Gang. Chat we did... where I wish to be, how are they orchestrating it all; support, new folks, etc. How am I to fulfill my mission, etc. It WAS quite the talk let me tell you.
As my handy dandy fit bit buzzed and congratulated me on taking 10,000 steps, we still had no end in sight. I knew Gabi was getting a bit weary (as was I). Within moments, VIOLA! Water! In she went and SMILED. Smiled I tell you! As I was figuring out how to get to the other side, for it looked vaguely familiar, I spied the rope bridge. The Rope Bridge! Yes, it really became that important and deserved to be capitalized for I knew where it was!
As we finally treaded on trails we knew and headed towards home, The Gang chuckled.
"See, we are never far. As your walks, trips, segues may seem off the beaten track, we always take care of you and set you straight. You will always be heading towards your goals, no matter what."
WOW. That's all I need to say....
